The Waynesboro School Board appointed Justin Gouff to fill the North End Director vacancy during the May 12 meeting by a 4-3 vote. Due to community concerns about a non-majority confirmation, a new vote was scheduled for the next board meeting on May 26, when all directors are expected to be present. However, Gouff has since withdrawn his candidacy for the position.
